My name is Timothy L Prince (a Pseudonym.)
I am a grateful recovering sexaholic, recovering in 12 step programs.
I am addicted to escaping into lusting fantasies,
that is why "Puff The Magic Dragon" is in the background.
As a very young child I remember getting
"Mighty Mouse" & other super heros to protect me.
Granted that is a far cry from illegal sex,
but the link is there. I found "other toys,"
in a fake attempt to protect myself from feeling pain.
It took over 2 years in prison to start my slow persistant healing.
A fear of sex offenders is strong in today's world, so
these poems and my writings may not be for everyone.
This addict must admit that a fear of sex offenders is necessary.
Only with time and working through the sometimes painful process of healing can a victim forgive, if it ever comes.
Real and serene healing though can only come if we forgive.
It can truthfully be said that every perpetrator was at one time a victim. Shared feelings can help heal.
We can forgive, both our perpetrator and ourselves.
I don't fully understand why
but my higher power, who is Jesus Christ,
has chosen to teach me as I write poetry.
Learning by writing is not unusual
for those with compulsive addictive behaviors.
Sharing them this openly on a web site is,
but I feel it is what Christ wants me to do.
I have even been blessed to have my wife
and family stay with me through all this, even the years in prison.
That is extremly rare, when one considers my unnatural crime.
Family members and others are in many of my poems.
A trypical sharing
in a 12 step meeting would be:
"My Name is Tim. I am a grateful recovering sexaholic.
I have been sober for (the time).
I did commit the crime that sent me to prison,
Though I even lied to myself about that at first.
I am a pediphile. I have committed
so many crimes in my fantasies.
I thank God most were only in my fantasies.
The crime that sent me to prison was incest.
My drugs of choice are fantasy, mastrubation,
pornography, and more fantasy.
My main triggers are self pity and anger.
I have always feared bullies.
My Heavenly Father and my Savior, Jesus Christ,
were bullies I feared.
An understanding of their unconditional love,
as part of my healing, is helping overcome my fear.
It is hoped that you are able to feel
the emotions of these writings.
Tim has shared his writings freely.
If you know him or anyone else in these pages
please do as Mary did that original Christmas
as she "pondered them in her heart."
We all are better off grounded in the present
while looking forward to our own " Glorious Future."
Any royal future is only possible for Tim
as he turns to God and submits to Christ's will.
May I learn to do the will of my Father in Heaven.
